Recent owner reports: Exterior Lighting
“The contact owns a 2006 Honda CR-V. The contact stated while driving approximately 40 MPH at night, the driver's side low beam headlight had failed to operate as needed. The contact stated that the high-beam headlights operated as needed; however, the driver's side low-beam headlight was inoperable. The contact stated that no warning light was illuminated.”
“Every few months one of my low beam headlamps goes out, and I replace it to stay in compliance with local traffic laws. Within the last week, both low beam headlights went out, and both sockets show burn damage that is similar to the issue reported in NHTSA recall: 04V086000. I am concerned that even if I replace both the lights and the sockets, there may be something else going on that could cause a fire.”
“Low-beam headlight bulb repeatedly fails in 2006 Honda CR-V, more often on the driver’s side, requiring replacement two to three times per year. This has occurred since the car was purchased in 2011 over ten years ago. Recall is needed for this common problem.”
